Relay Expense 2.0 expedites the reimbursement process by using .Net web forms, e-mail notifications, and workflow to implement your firm’s procedures and approval rules. This means that you can continue to be successful, while Relay Expense automates all your disbursement and office charge claims.
Users enter expenses using the Wizard or standard entry screens. Relay Expense supports hotel splits to make sure all the charges are categorized correctly. Each item can also be split so charges can be applied to multiple clients or cost centers. Relay Expense even imports credit card charges directly from your credit card statements into the expense report to save significant time.
The web and email-based interface allows responsible parties to easily manage personnel, client, matter, and request information in real time from virtually anywhere within the firm. In fact, from the moment users submit requests for reimbursement, Relay Expense tracks their progress from imaging receipts to reviewing requests—all the way to reconciling checks.
The accounting department can audit all requests or spot audit random requests. In addition, the actual percentage of requests audited is configurable. Repeat offenders can be added to a blacklist to make sure all requests are audited. This can be an amazing time-saver for overworked accounting departments.
The most essential feature of Relay Expense, which is common to all the Relay applications, is the Relay Rules & Notifications Engine that alerts you at the exact moment your attention is required. The notification contains a link that takes you directly to the spot where action is necessary. The Relay Expense system routs requests for additional approvals based on the expense type, office, or even the end user’s rank at the firm.
Relay Expense integrates with Aderant and Elite time & billing systems. We leverage the existing data for clients, matters, expense types, disbursement and GL offset codes. Relay also provides integration to Interwoven’s Worksite for documents or with QuickImage Imaging Software to facilitate scanning and attaching the needed back up documentation for each request.
